Yesterday I finished reading Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert, and it is now officially one of my all time favorite books. I don't want to give too much about it away, but it focuses mainly on the main characters' dissatisfaction and boredom that she feels with life. She tries to cure this with adulterous affairs and materialism, but this of course does not solve her misery and instead leads to her downfall. I very highly recommend it.
